The VILLAGE SUMMIT has been conceived, and is being staged by the DCM Institute, a member of the DCM Media group.
The DCM Institute has been established to support leadership and professional development in the retirement living sector following extensive research, including retirement village residents, managers and village operators.
In April 2019, the DCM Institute launched a Village Manager networking secretariat and ongoing professional development program for Village Managers and those working in close contact with Village residents.

Jodie’s credentials include being a second generation operator with 20 years ‘hands on’ management of retirement villages, Business Manager of Australia’s largest village management company (up to its sale), Village Care, membership of multiple industry committees and boards, adviser to state regulators and consultant to Australian and Asian village operators.
Judy Martin: Director - Industry Engagement
Judy’s credentials include leadership of the development of the first residential aged care AIN training programs, Australian and international retirement village and aged care education programs, and best practice in village and aged care built form and service model design. Judy is the first non-operator to be appointed to the board of the Washington based Global Ageing Network (GAN).
Tania Kelly: Associate Director - Leadership & Learning
Tania has over 20 years' experience working in leadership and operational management across a diverse range of industries. Her roles have included operational management of a 100 village portfolio, along with leadership accountabilities in Home Care, Social Programs and Wellness Services. Her earlier career was in training and development with the last 12 years in the retirement village and home care sector.
Independent and privately owned by people who have worked in the sector, DCM Group provides news and issue reporting, research, events and training to promote effective, innovative retirement living and aged care businesses, and better outcomes for residents, staff and stakeholders.
